Obituary for Jeffrey John "Jeff" Noel

Jeffrey John “Jeff” Noel, 46, a longtime Aberdeen and Montesano resident died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA from complications of a long-term illness.

Jeff was born on August 2, 1965 in Aberdeen to Gerald Walter and Nancy Ann (Ollikainen) Noel. He graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1983. He then graduated from Grays Harbor College with an Associate of Arts Degree. He continued to study in his chosen field and obtained many additional certifications.

Jeff worked as a counselor at Kimberly Home, the Quinault Indian Nation in Taholah and Kairo’s Counseling and Treatment Center in Hoquiam. In 1992, he and colleague Lynn Frank opened A Healthy Risk Counseling Center in Cosmopolis. The business was later moved to Montesano. He was partner and Counselor at A Healthy Risk Counseling Center until his death.

Jeff was a member of River of Life Church. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School and volunteering at the church. He also enjoyed frequent and varied road trips with his friend John.

Jeff is survived by his father, Jerry Noel of Aberdeen; a sister, Kris and husband Jay Salmon of Olympia along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He considered many of his fellow River of Life parishioners as part of his extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents including his much beloved grandmother Helen.

There will be a celebration of Jeff’s life on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 1 PM in River of Life Church, Aberdeen. He will be inurned at a later date on his mother’s grave at Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.
