Obituary for Charles Edward Coulter

Charles Edward Coulter Sr., 92, Aberdeen resident and former Boomman for ITT Rayonier pulp mill, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, WA.
Charles was born on May 20, 1926 in Hiawatha, Kansas to Gilbert and Goldia (Moore) Coulter. When he was 19, he moved to Montesano where he went to work at Harbor Plywood in the winter and spring and then to Yakima where he picked fruit in the harvest times.
On July 2, 1949, Charles married Inez Regina Sandstrom in Montesano, WA. She resides at the family home.
Charles went to work for ITT Rayonier’s pulp mill in 1958 and retired 30 years later in 1988. He enjoyed fishing and putting feed out for the bears for the ITT Rayonier. He was also known for his beaver and otter trapping and was a member of the Trappers Association.
Charles is survived by his wife of 69 years, Inez R. Coulter of Aberdeen; sons: Charles E. (Sue) Coulter Jr of North River and Randy R. (Angie) Coulter of Aberdeen; daughters: Sandi (Tom) Connell of Union, WA, Susie (Joe) Veloni of Hoquiam, WA, Cindy (Brad) Evans of Central Park and Teri (Doug) Seath of Central Park; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
There will be a time of visitation on Friday, November 9th from 9-10:45 am at Fern Hill Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in Fern Hill’s chapel.
