Obituary for Theodore Roman "Ted" Balagot

Theodore R (Ted) Balagot 75, died unexpectedly at his Olympia home Friday, Sept. 15th. Ted was born in Aberdeen Wa. to Teodoro Mayo Balagot and Florence May (Deugau) Balagot, November 22, 1941.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Margaret (Maggie) Balagot; his children Lisa Woodland (John Felts) and Michael Balagot (Sally Rocha); Maggie’s children: Mike Sanderson (Janine), Monica Dippre (Matt), Megan Kittle and Matt Allen (Siri). 24 grandchildren: Adam Woodland (Ashley), Aaron Balagot (Erika), Morgan Balagot Romani (Robby), Paige Balagot, Nicole Sanderson McGowan (Tony), Quinn Sanderson, Shelby Lanphere, Kurt Lanphere (Latoya), Nikki Lanphere, Charlie Kittle, Jacob Kittle, Grace Allen, Janelle Lymus, Tre Lymus, Daniel Dippre, Sarah Dippre, Manny Dippre, Stephen Dippre, Anna Dippre, Mia Phanthao, Timothy Phanthao, Jessica Phanthao, Amanda Phanthao, Sulyna Phanthao and 9 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, daughter Kimberlyn Marie and sister Ellen Higgins.
Ted graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1960 and soon after joined the US Navy. He was an Aberdeen Bobcat at heart. He loved his hometown and treasured the high school years he played football and baseball. In later years playing golf with family and friends, along with a good joke, always made him smile. Ted enjoyed traveling as well as backyard barbecues. His laughter was contagious, his charm irresistible. Ted will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There will be a time of visitation for Ted on Friday, September 22nd from 1-8 PM and on Saturday from 9-11 AM in Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, September 23rd at Noon in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen, WA. A luncheon will be served following the graveside at the Aberdeen Eagles, 208 W Market St., Aberdeen, WA
