Obituary for Eleanor Grace Reeves (Burgess)

Eleanor G. Reeves left this earth August 25, 2017 from Hoquiam, WA, ascended to heaven and was welcomed in to the arms of her Savior, her loving husband Eugene and her son Dick Reeves.
Eleanore was born in Great Falls, Mont. on May 14, 1917, the daughter of Edwin L. and Wava E. (Bailey) Burgess. She came to the Harbor with her family when she was a child.
She was the lover of people. Everyone was her friend; her children and her grandchildren were her life. She believed the Lord would sustain her and get through these very hard times she knew he would know when the time was right for her to come back home.
Eleanor worked for S H Kress, Everybody Store and Payless Drug Store. She volunteered for 25 years in the gift shop at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Aberdeen.
She spent some of the happiest days under the care of Pacific Care Center, Hoquiam, with special thank you’s to Malane, Jerry, Sharon, the rest of the Center staff, and her roommate, Margaret, who she loved as a sister.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Sharon and husband Roland Mudgett, Copalis Beach; a son, Cam and wife Carrie Reeves, Renton; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and also a daughter-in-law, Sharon Bravos, special friend, Jess Nations, Becky and Renee Cummings, Joellen Howard and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene in 2000, a son, Dick in 1998, her parents and her three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 PM Friday, September 1st at Fern Hill Funeral Home, 2208 Roosevelt St., Aberdeen.
A funeral service will be held at graveside at 11 AM Saturday, September 2nd in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen. Reverend Jeff Johnson, pastor of the United Christian Church will officiate.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the United Christian Church, 300 W. 1st St., Aberdeen, WA 98520 or to your favorite charity.
