Obituary for Glenis Ilene Brantley (Hall)

Glenis Ilene (Hall) Brantley passed away in Spokane, Washington, on August 8, 2017. Glenis was born in McCleary, Washington on January 22, 1932 to Otter and Irene (Lutton) Hall.
Glenis was kind and loving to those around her. She was always joyful and loved to cook holiday meals for her family. She loved to garden, mostly growing Irises and Dahlias. She inspired laughter, and friendship; extending that friendship to those she did not know through her donations to The Brantley Center in Hawaii, the Humane Society, and the Women’s Shelter and other organizations that were close to her heart.
Glenis was a supportive wife to her husband Gilbert, traveling to many places as his military career took them. She was a loving mother to her two living children, Sherry (Brantley) Iverson of Aberdeen, Washington and Gilbert Brantley of Spokane, Washington. She was also proud grandmother of seven grandchildren: Brian Knight, Brianna Iverson, Ashley (Iverson) Kaiser, Austin Iverson, Travis Brantley, Jillian (Brantley) Smith and Kacey Brantley. She had five great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Glenis is survived by her two sisters Jesse Sede and Mary Ann Augustine. She was happy with the spending time with her family and friends. Our memories of Glenis will continue to inspire us to be kinder to others and to give more. She is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Brantley, whom she married on May 13, 1950 in Aberdeen, WA and her infant son Michael Gilbert Brantley.
The family will hold a graveside memorial service to remember Glenis and celebrate her life at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen Washington on Tuesday, August 15th at 11:00 am.
