Obituary for Robert Raymond Olson

Robert Raymond Olson, 69, was born in McCleary WA, on a warm Friday the 13th in May of 1949 to Oscar and Yvonne (Jesselume) Olson. Known as “Bob” or “Bobby” to most, he was a Union sheet metal worker, “Tin Knocker”, and most of all a friend, brother, and father.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He took great pride in his hunting and fishing stories, never revealing his favorite “secret” fishing hole. He volunteered as an assistant cub scout den leader, baseball umpire, and boy scout merit badge instructor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, and older brother John.
Bob is survived by his younger brother Ed, McCleary; sons Jered and wife Hannah, East Olympia and John and wife Sharon Kay, Lacey; and also 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a funeral mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elma, Wednesday, July 19th at 11 AM. Vault interment will follow at Wynooche Cemetery in Montesano.
