Betty Jo (McGregor) Bastin, age 81, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimers on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in Aberdeen, Washington at the home of her son, Dr. Brian McGregor.

She was born Elizabeth Josephine Baxter December 14, 1933 in Walla Walla, Washington to Charles Richard and Mary Elizabeth (Harvey) Baxter.

Betty Jo graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1951 and attended Washington State College for two years where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Betty Jo married her high school sweetheart, Robert Lee McGregor, on February 12, 1955 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. They moved to Hayward, CA and later to Aberdeen, WA. Robert passed away in 1987. In 1993 Betty Jo married Jack Bastin.

Betty Jo is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jack Bastin, sons Michael (Diana) McGregor of Ocean Shores and Brian (Joy) McGregor of Aberdeen, grandchildren Justin (Tina), Nicole, Steve, Jeremiah, Christopher (Veronika), Kathryne, and Joshua as well as nieces Jane (Devin) Backholm, Lois (Doug) Cotton, and nephew Richard (Janet) Baxter and the Bastin family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Robert McGregor, brother John Harvey Baxter, and son Kevin Richard McGregor.
