The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dean Maher can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jim Van Sickle
Condolence: Dear brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is important to note that this saga of life is not over, it is just beginning.
Dean Maher was an active, central figure in a band of merry men also known as the Seattle University Intercollegiate Knights. The Jesuits kindly held us in their highest esteem as their personal "custodians on call."
Dean's role was as a Knight, the social director, as he knew the Boyle's who owned the basement which was our home away from home. Dean loved that family so much that he became part of the family and married a daughter.i remember that wedding well as I had the honor of singing, "to Dream an Impossible Dream." Shortly after that wedding, we all graduated and went our own paths to maturity. My wife and I lost contact with Dean and his family, but hope this is an opportunity for all of those "merry men" to copy e-mail address's and allow Dean to draw us together, at least electronically, for each of us to fill the void and share our "Impossible Dreams, " with each other!
God bless you Dean Maher and all should take consolation," that in the blink of God's eye we will be together again!"
Yours in Christ,
Jim and Phyllis Van Sickle ( jim.vansickle@me.com)
